beautyheaven reviews: Clear + Brilliant laser treatment
Laser treatments are becoming more and more popular in treating skin issues. And while you may have heard about them, it always helps to hear from someone who has experienced the actual treatment.
So we sent bh’s Laina to road-test the Clear+Brilliant laser treatment, which uses a TGA-approved medical device to help repair and rejuvenate skin. Specifically, the safe and unique technology aims to correct skin tone and promote radiance, leaving your skin looking healthier and more youthful. It’s a simple, painless procedure that lies somewhere between over-the-counter and spa treatments, and more aggressive laser treatments (like Fraxel), and there’s virtually no downtime after the 20-minute sessions.
What did Laina think about the treatment? Read on to find out…
“What appealed to me the most about this treatment was the fact that it claimed minimal downtime, unlike most laser treatments where you need to take days off work and there is significant healing time. Based on fractional laser technology, Clear + Brilliant is designed for women who want to go one step further than salon facials, but do not want to have more invasive or surgical procedures.
I'd always been a little scared of laser treatments, but the most uncomfortable part of this was the anaesthetic gel that was put over my entire face beforehand – it didn’t hurt, but felt very strange! Kind of like when you go to the dentist and your mouth goes numb, but over your whole face.
The laser itself felt like mini static shocks (like when you take off a sweater), and was over in 15 minutes or so.
My face was a little red for a day or so after (nothing make-up couldn’t cover), and about two days later the skin on my face felt quite rough (like fine sandpaper) and had a tiny bit of peeling, but nothing dramatic. By day five my skin was looking glowing and plumped.
They recommend three to six treatments for visible results – I had four treatments and my skin really does look the best it has in years. The pigmentation spots have faded, and my large pores and old acne scars are visibly refined.
I had my treatment at Zecca, a state of the art cosmedical clinic in Alexandria, and the ladies were amazing.”
