AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum Reviews

Being the absolute sceptic I am, I was just the type of person to give this serum a go. You know the type.... Why do I need to add another product to my regime, What is it trying to promise, Could I be bothered???
Well, this old sceptic sure was glad she did bother with this one. I have never used a serum, I think I just missed the "you absolutely need this product" boat. I was happy to just find a good hydrating moisturiser. I was so not jumping on the serum bandwagon.
However, being part of the trial team for the Boost Lab AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum has changed my 'behind the times' attitude.

I am so glad I was given the opportunity to test and trial a product that, to be honest, I really had no interest in investing in and there are some unfavourable points in my opinion, but overall I will be a continued user.

The glass bottle with an included glass dropper to deliver the serum was a worry for me with a tiled bathroom floor, note to self- be careful!!

I thought, give this product a serious trial and make a valid informed judgement at the end of a few weeks and so I did.

The packaging describes three simple steps to follow and I did just that.
On clean skin I applied a few drops (I used 5 drops to cover the face, neck and decolletage) I rubbed between my hands to warm it a little and then applied all over the areas I was targeting.

Ok, now for the reality check. It was pretty gross to the touch on my face. No Gross smell though, no smell at all. It was tacky and sticky and that alone put me off first go, yuk! I hate the tacky 'feels'!!! But, on allowing the product a chance to come to fruition I waited till it dried, still a little tacky, but a lot less, then I applied a moisturiser and it all settled down and soaked in. I then applied a tinted moisturiser over the top and I was ready for the day.

And so what of the results? To be honest, I felt my skin looked clearer and brighter after about three weeks of use (only in the morning, so once a day for me). I was a little surprised when at a family function my sister-in-law said how clear my completion looked also, I had not discussed with her prior what I was using, so this was an unprompted compliment and greatly received (thanks beautiful sister-in-law)

So for this old sceptic, while I don't walk out of the house with the "glowing complexion" as promised in the promotions, I am guessing the resurfacing is working it's humble way around my skin and doing it's thing as I am pleased with the look, the level of moisture and tone of my skin. I am sure the Manuka honey and Aloe vera are working hard on my dehydrated skin.

For a few extra drops in my skincare routine, I am happy to continue use of this serum.

I was lucky enough to receive the Boost Lab AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum as part of a trial.
The Boost products had actually been popping up here and there on some other accounts so I was interested in trying them as they were reasonably priced.
Packaging is nice and simple and the serum is dispersed via a dropper.
I found the serum to be quite thick, unlike most other serums I have used before, and I felt that maybe the product did not penetrate the skin that well, and some sat on top of my skin. At times my skin has felt a bit tacky afterwards. However moisturiser and makeup application went on no worries at all.
Very easy to apply though, just 2-3 drops all over the face morning and night (or just night if you prefer).
I have not used AHA serums before but I have used an AHA cleanser. I definitely feel like my skin is more hydrated and possibly more brighter as stated on the bottle.

AHA Resurfacing Serum states it does not contain any products that are known allergens and it is cruelty free, both of which I think are very important. AHA Resurfaxing Serum supports the natural process of skin and cell turnover by peeling away dead skin cells to improve multple signs of ageing. It is infused with Manuka Honey, Aloe Vera Juice and Bisabolol (active Chamomile). comes in a white box with light green across the bottom and two sides. Enclosed is a 30ml light grey frosted bottle with a dropper fitted in the lid.

I found it has a very slight fragrance you don't notice. The texture is a bit sticky, I put this down to one of the ingredients being Manuka Honey. I used it morning and night after cleansing my skin. I found I only needed 2 drops for my face, after applying it felt light on my skin so I couldn't feel it though it did feel slightly tacky to touch, I found this disappeared as soon as I applied my moisturizer over the top. After the first couple of applications I did have a slight tingling on a couple of spots on my face which didn't last long and disappeared after the second day.

I have been using AHA Resurfacing Serum for a couple of weeks and I can definitely see improvement, my skin looks clearer and feels softer and not as dry as it was before using it. I also find I don't need to use as much moisturizer as I normally would which is great. Now the trial period is over I will use it nightly to avoid any sensitivity to the sun.

BOOST LAB AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum is a daily exfoliating serum that uses Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Manuka Honey and Aloe Vera. It is designed to smooth and brighten, as well as to revitalise your complexion, and I couldn't wait to try it! My skin is starting to show the signs of aging and an outdoor lifestyle - fine lines and wrinkles, so I was very keen to see what kind of a difference it could make.

Packaged in a fairly simple, minimalist style, the small 30ml eye dropper style bottle certainly has a more medicinal/scientific look to it than a beauty product look.

I cleansed my face as usual, as per the instructions, ready to apply the serum. When I massaged the serum into my face and décolletage it felt lovely and silky with a slight tingle and had a pleasant very subtle fresh fragrance. Two little drops seems to go quite a long way. It feels very gentle and soothing and can be used twice a day - morning and evening after cleansing, and before moisturising, as part of your usual skin care routine. There is no doubt that the use of Manuka Honey and Aloe Vera really helps to soothe and calm the skin while the Lactic Acid AHA does its job of exfoliating.

Unlike with a lot of exfoliants I found this Glow Resurfacing serum was very gentle - no stripped feeling or peeling. It just seems to buff the skin and give it a soft, subtle glow (true to name)... gently exfoliating the dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin so that new, more evenly pigmented cells have a chance to generate and take their place.

Love that I was chosen for this trial! Always on the look out for brighter skin and anti-ageing solutions and the Boost Lab AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum was a wonderful surprise.

For the uninitiated the AHA is Alpha Hydroxy Acid which is said to support the natural process of skin cell turnover. It's exfoliation without the scrubbing, which is just fabulous because at the same time it is exfoliating the other ingredients of Manuka Honey, Aloe Vera Juice and Bisabolol (something I had to look up as I had never heard of it but it is an ingredient active in Chamomile said to soothe irritated skin, acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage, and helping to improve the visible signs of ageing) are moisturising my skin. Bonus!

All of these ingredients collaborate and aid in not only the fight against ageing but I found they also have given my skin a definite "BOOST" in glow. I did find that it feels a little sticky after application but followed up with a good moisturiser (which is recommended after application) this was eliminated.

Directions say a few drops and really that is all you need in both or either morning and night. The coverage is fantastic the product goes on easily and the scent is non-existent as no fragrances have been added. Great for all skin types as it also contains no sulphates or parabens and is cruelty free! All big ticks.

I noticed a distinct difference in the surface and appearance of my skin after just one week and have been wearing less foundation as a result because my complexion is clearer and brighter than it has been for a while. A great product at a good price point ! $29.95 and one I can highly recommend!

I purchased the Boost Lab Glow Serum after my sister recommended it to me.

The serum works like a exfoliant helping the skins skin cells natural shedding happen while leaving a smooth and bright complexion.

I believe that this serum has also minimalised the appearance of pores on my nose while leaving a all over brighter skin tone.

Boost Lab AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum has been absolutely amazing for my skin. It's ingredients gently exoliate the skin to reveal a soft, smooth and glowing complexion. I love that it's fragrance free and paraben free. The serum absorbs into the skin really well and has helped reduce my imperfections. I use it in the morning and find it gives me an instant radiance boost when I apply it. Gentle enough for my sensitive skin and very hydrating formula. The aloe vera really helps to calm my skin. All of the Boost Lab serums are such great value and can be used in conjunction with other serums in the range which I think is fab. I would highly recommend this serum to anyone who wants a gentle exfoliating effect and radiance booster all in one! The dropper bottle is very handy and allows for accurate product distribution each time. I use 3 drops. I love that this is an Australian skincare brand too! Very impressed considering I have only used for 1 month.
