Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum Reviews

I was thrilled to see that as part of my trial that I had received not one but two of BOOST LABs products to test out.

I found it beneficial to use the AHA Glow Resurfacing Serum in the morning and the Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum at night.

I used the BOOST LAB Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum on my t-zone as that is my troublesome area and it worked a treat - There is no smell, it goes on a bit tacky but that feeling goes away pretty quickly and it dissolves into your skin nicely.

I have very sensitive skin so I had some reservations about these products but after a few uses my skin didn’t react to these products. After continuous use for about 2 weeks my skin was looking amazing! No more red spots, my pores weren’t as congested and this product kept my oily skin at bay.

Overall, I would recommend these products although they are a bit pricey compared to whats already on the market.

I loved that it has Vitamin B as it helps to reduce blemishes and reduces wrinkles and fine lines which I have plenty of. I loved that the bottles have a different colour on them making them easy to pick which is which. Again another 30 ml bottle with a large dropper making it easy to get how much you need each time.

I used the Blemish Rescue Serum of a night after cleansing and I didnt use as much with this product. Loved the texture and it didnt really have a smell.Once again easy to apply and my face was left feeling stick with this serum.

Over time I noticed that my fine lines wasnt as noticable and my wrinkles werent as pronounced . Very happy that my blemishes were fading. Very happy with the product and will definately keep using it.

I received this as part of the Boost Lab trial and as I am not in need of blemish rescuing I also gave it to my two teenage daughters to trial
Both daughters only have mild blemishes that come up here and there and at the time of receiving this product one daughter had quite a few pimples. I definitely saw improvement within the first 3 days. Both girls skin cleared up and looks much more fresh. One daughter has slightly oily skin and it seems to have helped control this.
I found serum very easy to apply, this one is not tacky like the AHA Glow serum, this is lightweight and easily absorbed. The serum is fragrance free and moisturiser and makeup goes on perfectly after applying. For my skin (being in my 40s) I did not see any obvious benefit but love the fact that it contains Zinc and an anti pollutant.
After trialling two product I am impressed enough to purchase other serums in their range.

BOOST LAB Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum is as the name suggests designed to gently banish blemishes like redness, acne, enlarged pores and oiliness. The key ingredients it uses to fight these blemishes are the essential nutrient Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Zinc and Pollustoc an antioxidant which apparently fights environmental pollutants.

You can use the serum as part of your usual daily skin care routine. So after washing my face with my usual cleanser I massaged two or three drops of the Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum into my face, neck and décolletage. I chose to concentrate my efforts around my nose and chin area which is where I have enlarged pores and oiliness. The serum glides on smoothly and a little bit goes a long way, quickly absorbing into the skin. It feels gentle and silky on your skin and has a very light, pleasant fragrance.

It certainly seems like the Niacinamide otherwise known as Vitamin B3 really does work on skin texture as my enlarged pores did seem to be less noticeable and my face generally (and nose in particular) seemed to have less excess oil. Niacinamide is known to be able to smooth your overall skin texture, and brighten your skin, and it does seem to be improving my skins appearance. I will definitely be keeping up this serum as part of my skincare routine!

This is my first Boost Lab product although I’d heard of them through BH. My previous serum ran out the day this arrived so perfect timing. I’ve been using it alongside the Boost AHA glow resurfacing serum. My skin is mature, combination and not particularly prone to blemishes. I feel Ii need products to brighten my skin and to even out its tone. I have visible pores on my oily t zone.

For the last few weeks I’ve been using this on one half of my face twice per day after cleansing (Micellar water in evening, foaming wash in shower in morning) and toning, sometimes I apply some Jurlique water essence before the serum.

In the morning I follow it with Blessed by Nature day cream and sunscreen while in the evening I use Mirenesse sleep mask or Olay rejuvenating jar mask.

The serum comes in a clear glass bottle with a plastic and rubber dropper lid. The box (nicely colour coordinated) includes a list of all the ingredients, directions and general information while the bottle has a list of the active ingredients - 10% niacinamide (vitamin b3), 1% zinc PCA ( for DNA and protein synthesis and hydration) and Pollustop glycoside pm2.5 (to prevent pollutants entering the skin). The serum is made in New Zealand and is cruelty free. It does not contain parabens, sulphates or fragrance.

The serum itself is a clear colourless light gel with no smell. It absorbs well but without other product is sticky to touch although my skin itself doesn’t feel sticky. Once other product is applied the stickiness disappears. I haven’t tried it with makeup.

The serum feels nice on my skin, I’ve had the occasional mild tingle, probably a cut or rough bit in my skin but this might mean those with particularly sensitive skin should patch test first (it recommends this on the bottle). I think you could put it in the fridge in hot weather for a nice refreshing feel.

The dropper gives good control so it’s easy to use as much as you need and also keeps it hygienic. I’ve found I use a little more than the recommended “few drops” but it still is going to last a good while (its shelf life after opening is 12 months).

I feel overall my skin looks better since using this although it’s hard to pick exactly why. I haven’t noticed any effects on my pores (it promises oil and pore control) and I’m not sure my t zone is any less oily. As mentioned, I rarely get blemishes so I’m not sure how it would help them. It may take longer to see a more dramatic effect.

My overall opinion is that this is a good serum but one of the others in the range might be more suitable for me, however I’d definitely recommend it to those who wish to address problems it is designed for.

I have tried Boost Lab Blemish Rescue Serum for a few weeks now. Firstly the list of ingredients is very appealing as it does not contain any chemicals. It has got zinc and vitamin B which sound good for hydration.

You need quite a lot of serum to really cover the entire face (more than just a few drops) which may not be a bad thing, it means that it is more concentrated.

This serum absorbs really quickly into the skin and does not make my skin feel oily at all. I have been applying during the day as it does not give that oily/shiny look to the face, it blends in. The skin looks and feel good.

The product says it has a "pollution screen" which is very appealing for a day-time use product. In terms of blemish, I don't think the product make any difference in improving existing blemishes but maybe it prevents further blemish.

I have been using the Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum for 1.5 weeks now and i have already noticed that my face is no longer red like it use to be. I use to have redness around my cheeks. My skin looks calmer and healthier. This serum absorps really quickly into the skin and does not make my skin feel oily at all. I apply day and night after toning. You only need a few drops so it does go a long way. After using the serum i apply my normal moisturiser and makeup when required. I love that it contains vitamin B3. I can also say that my skin has had no bad reaction at all to this product. I would definitely recommend this serum to anyone who has any blemishes, redness on the face and also people who needs a boost of hydration on their face. I will continue to use this serum.
