It’s alright, I do too (way more than I would like to admit).

Sometimes all it takes is a new fragrance to make you shove your other perfumes to the side. Or maybe you liked the smell in store but it didn’t end up suiting you.
Whatever it is, the waste needs to stop! To help us do that, we've gathered up some of the best DIY hacks to repurpose unused perfumes...
#1 Moisturiser
This can help you get more out of two neglected beauty products! If you have an unscented moisturiser, add a few drops of your fragrance and voila - a new scented body lotion.

#2 Drawers
Spritz your fragrance onto some tissue paper and then after it dries, line your drawers with it. This will give your clothes a lovely and subtle scent!
#3 Diffuser
Your fragrance is already in a bottle, so all you have to do to is pop in a few wooden reeds to make it a diffuser. Or if you want to change up the style, a small glass jar or vase will also do the trick.
#4 Pillow
If you have any calming scents, spritz your pillow with one before you hit the hay. Scents like lavender have soothing effects and can calm your mind for a peaceful sleep.

The diffuser one is an interesting idea. Not all bottles are suitable to use in this way tho. Some of the more crazy bottles wouldn't work. Bvlgari Omnia comes to mind.

I'd be worried about adding perfume to moisturiser as it will most likely dry out the skin (all the alcohol) and change scent when mixed. The diffuser is a good idea though!

I sometimes add a little of the perfumed shower gel to my body scrub. Also if you dont have the body lotion, spray a drop of perfume into your regular lotion.

These are some great ideas. I never know what to do with old perfume but I can't bring myself to throw away the beautiful bottles, especially when there is still liquid left in the bottle!

I finish all my bottles of perfume - store them in a drawer (out of sunlight) to prolong their life. I have literally just finished reading Kate Grenville's "The Case Against Fragrance" & it has me questioning the norm of fragrance in SO MANY products & what it is doing to our health. Time to expand my repertoire of homemade cleaners & buy fragrance free!

I've never ever let a perfume go to waste.
I even use the empty bottles as a vases to put a few little flowers in!

Usually if a perfume I own is going to waste it means I'm not a fan of the scent. In that case I don't think these hacks will work.

I love the idea of using extra perfume as a diffuser, hmmm, I wonder what would make a good carrier oil? I've used perfume that I'm not too keen on as toilet spray before...lol!
