Makeup that won't make you breakout

A couple of weeks ago I started to notice that I was getting unusual breakouts on the apples of my cheeks. They weren’t full-blown blemishes (luckily I was spared the I-so-want-to-squeeze-you pus-filled heads), but they were quite noticeable and extremely annoying.
Racking my brain as to what could have caused them, I washed all my make-up brushes (they can definitely cause breakouts if not washed regularly), but that didn’t help. And then the culprit suddenly came to me – it was my blush!
I’d recently started using a rather bright pink blush and clearly the chemicals used in creating the pigment had caused my skin to freak out. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that all bright blushes are bad for you (I’ve used hundreds in my time and only a few have disagreed with my skin), but sometimes – especially if you’re prone to pimples – it’s best to opt for mineral-based make-up.
Like Bare Escentuals bareMinerals for example. Derived from natural, 100 percent crushed minerals, all of its products are non-comedogenic (meaning they won’t clog your pores), contain no harsh chemicals, and protect your skin from the environment. And because the minerals help to perfect an uneven skin tone, the products – which can be used on all skin types – are especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin or rosacea.
We particularly like:
bareMinerals All Over Face Colour due to its multi-duty capabilities. Use it as a bronzer, blush and/or eyeshadow, or mix it in with a clear lip balm for a shimmery gloss. You can also add it to your body lotion for an all-over body glow!
bareMinerals Natural Lipgloss as it’s preservative free (think of how much of your gloss ends up in your mouth), has a gorgeously glossy finish, and uses natural ingredients to nourish your lips.
So where can you get your hands on this great mineral make-up brand? At David Jones of course! Head to your nearest store or simply jump online and start shopping!

My Brother in law makes the best sticky date pudding and caramel sauce ever, I have his recipe now, and do a pretty good attempt, however I think his taste better simply because someone else made it and there is no mess to clean up

When I was in high school in North Queensland, I studied Italian, and as part of our "course" we went to a traditional Italian restuarant owned by an old Italian couple. They served us tiramisu (which means "pick-me-up") a rich, coffee, sponge finger (savoiardi) and mascarpone cheese desert. I have never eaten tiramisu as delicious as that one, it really left an impression in my memory and tastebuds. I remember that meal very well too, as I was the one who volunteered (!) to give the thank you speech in Italian afterward. It was very special, as they opened the restuarant specially for our little class. Not long after that, the couple went into a well deserved retirement. Grazie!

My best dessert was the most amazingly rich Lemon Meringue Pie i'd ever tasted in my life... Lucious pillow of meringue, creamy zesty fresh lemon creme, with a tasty base. Topped off with cream & chocolate sauce. It was A-MAZE-ING! in every sense.

For Christmas eve my Mum made this amazing sponge layered dessert. She soaked sponge fingeres in plum pudding vodka, then laid them in a dish, poured a tin of mixed berries on top, then a layer of whipped cream. She then made another layer of sponge, berries and cream. and for the topping she grated chocolate on the top layer. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmmmm, chocolate! About 15years ago I took my younger sister who was only about 7yr old ( I was about 16 and saved all my pocket money to treat her for her birthday) to a place called Death by chocolate where you could order all sorts of chocolate deserts. We shared the Everything on a plate desert which literally was a huge plate that had 1 of every desert they sold from mousse, chocolate cake, chocolates, icecream etc. We sat there for ages slowly trying each thing and managed to finish it off. At the end I asked the waiter if my sister had earned the certificate for finishing it off (a huge honour back in the day) and they gave it to her (even though we had shared!) The grin on her face was ear to ear and she couldn't wait to get home and tell the rest of the family so for me that was the best desert Ever!

A friend is the best Chef I have ever known and made me these chocolate puddings that she like to call 'Molten Chocolate Lava Extravaganza' say that 10 times quickly. lol These puddings are to die for and you can never just stop at one. Just imagine a chocolate cupcake all moist and yummy on the outside, then picture the volcano of molten chocolate on the inside as well as the incredible chocolate marshmallow sauce that accompanies these. And if your really game you can add some chocolate ice-cream to really blow the calorie budget. I love these because my friend is the only one who I know that could pull something off like this without it being over the top. I really could go one of these right now. :D mmmmmmmmmmm Chocolate........

Nothing better in summer than a citrus tart with fresh whipped cream. Smooth, luxurious, with just a "hint of inner-thigh whibble", as Nigella Lawson would say...

My banana passionfruit with icecream dessert, as it is so yummy especially as the banana is cooked and then honey and passionfruit is added and the icecream blends in so well, very tropical.

The best thing ever tasted is pear & apple floating on a bed of bananna custart topped with crumble. I call it apple & pear crumble. Make it myself so it has to be good.

Basic old creme caramel. You still cannot beat that custard comfort feeling in your mouth with a rich hit of pure liquid caramel.

A gingerbread house that my friend and I made together for Christmas, mostly because of the hard work and toil that went into it! By the end of the day we were absolutely exhausted and bit off the roof... tasted delicious after all that hard work!

My own caramel tarts made from boiling condensed milk and a homemade tart pastry. Often when you buy from shops they are tiny and hardly any caramel. Making them myself I make them my size and loads of caramel with a hint of cream on top. I dont make them too often as I have no will power :o)

My grandmothers Chocolate biscuit cream cake - easy to make and delicious to eat. I have continued the tradition since she passed and it is still as popular today with my family. I think the best ingredient was the love that was stirred inwith the cream!!
