    Foundation is a magical, magical thing. Because while we’re all about loving the skin we’re in, nothing dials up our confidence like a really good base. That confidence, however, isn’t always as rock solid when our skin goes and sabotages things.

    Dry skin can cause a lot of issues, but one of the most offensive of the bunch is the way it messes with our makeup application – especially our foundation. Yep, when your skin is parched, itchy, or God forbid, flaky, your base can look real dodgy real fast.

    So, if your thirsty complexion is going through a particularly rebellious stage, it’s time to hit it with the hydration it needs in foundation form too. These are the best bases to turn to when you need to take your face from flat to flawless. Consider your complexion quenched.

    I haven't tried any of these but I love M.A.C Studio Sculpt as I find this to be really gentle on my dry skin.

    I love the Maybelline dream satin foundation and its pretty well for my often very dry skin. Id love that YSL foundation, it looks amazing.

    Want to try The RAWW foundation. Used to love the sadly discontinued Clinique Moisture Surge CC. Need to check If the Even Better foundation has a light enough shade for me.

    The only one I have tried is Maybelline, it’s so good and doesn’t dry my skin. But I think you need to wear a good serum & moisturiser/ SPF first because if you don’t, the foundation will look flaky & patchy on your skin.

    I dont mind foundation that can give me that dewy look but it's hard as my skin can get oily really quickly

    My mum has extremely dry and sensitive skin. She was looking for a new foundation. She had tried a few different ones but reacted badly to them. Since I love my BareMinerals so much, I suggested that perhaps she give it a go. She got the full coverage foundation. It’s really hydrating, and she’s had no problems with sensitivities. She’s absolutely loving it.

    Lovely options here - I dont have dry skin but I can imagine it would be difficult to manage with foundation in particular.

    My skin can be a little bit dry sometimes. I love BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. I’ve been using this for a long time. I try others but always come back to this.
