Hi guys im having this huge problem with dandruff .I use head n shoulders everyday but no good. Can you suggest a shampoo for me..pls
I have heard that T gel is really good it is gentle on your scalp but is tough on the problem. I just bought it for my fiance it was recommended in mens health mag aswell. You can get it from priceline.
Oh thanks alot...Im really suffering frm dandruff ....
I find Cedel anti dandruff shampoo really good Roxybabe. Not too expensive either.
Head and shoulders is pretty good :)
Hi... I bought the KMS head remedy shampoo and conditioner. A little more expensive but FANTASTIC!!! And you don't need to use much so it lasts a while. I had fairly bad dandruff and it's gone now....
i know you may not have thought of this, but colouring your hair is the best way to get rid of dandruff
You must colour your hair at the roots & the dandruff will vanish
I read in Cosmo or one of those magazines a few years ago that crushing two asprin and adding it to your conditioner gets rid of dandruff.
I used to suffer mild dandruff, but it cleared in probably two weeks. I now do it weekly, and it's never come back
I used to have dandruff too and found Aveda Scalp Benefits Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner to be really effective. I used it for a good 3-4 years but it's quite expensive.
I've recently switched to Sukin Organics Purifying shampoo and nourishing conditioner (they're SO MUCH cheaper) and found them to be just as good. The shampoo doesn't foam as much as the Aveda but that's fine by me. I don't have dandruff anymore plus i'm saving money.
Have a look at http://www.sukinorganics.com.au/
The Trichovedic Spa Therapy shampoo, conditioner and treatment is great for dandruff. You have to use it for a month and make sure you get it on your scalp! Stylz salons sell it
I have really sensitive skin and tried every shampoo claiming to provide the solution, however, I had not been successful as I have today. Yesterday I bought Natural Instincts range of goodies, I used the shampoo today and not itched all day the ingredients are all natural and leaft my long locks shiny soft and smelling devine.
There are testers available to try in the skin range. The shampoo bottle is a 500ml costs 11.95 and worth the money!
Available at all health food stores and chemist warehouse good luck
Usually it's the SLS's in commercial shampoo that cause all the trouble in the first place...going natural is the best way to go...it makes all the difference.
Dandruff is a way of the body telling us there is something it disagrees with.
This can be related to diet and also shampoos and conditioners that contain ammonium lauryl sulfate used make shampoo soapy.
Seek products without the ingredients and give your hair and scalp an overnight treatment of coconut and herb oil. Your local indian grocer will sell this for $5 remember to place a towel on your pillow to prevent oil stains.
COCONUT OIL!!! Honestly- put it in your hair (concentrating on the scalp) leave it for fifteen mins or so, rinse it off, shampoo, condition & it should make the world of difference (it did for me anyway! After trying many different products)
Hi, Roxybabe. Try Nizoral. It worked for me and some of my friends.
I bought my teenage daughter some new shampoo/conditioner today at Priceline. She suffers from psorriasis (probably spelt incorrectly!) on the scalp, which looks like bad dandruff. It's called Pure Therapy and is made for sensitive scalp conditions. At the moment it's $11.99 per bottle as an introductory price. It contains oats.
Not sure how it works as she has not used it yet.
I've used coconut oil this arvo but have no idea if it's helped yet.
^Apparently Listerine helps!
my hairdresser once told me that blow drying your hair can cause dandruff and can also be caused by stress. it might be the products that your using that are drying out your scalp. every now and then i get dandruff its usually when ive shampooed my hair too much.
Misslucy, please take note of the date of a thread before posting. This thread is over 3.5 years old.
just watched this video by andreaschoice :)
she says to use the yellow listerine!! have a look at the video :)
So many brands in the market choose the best one for your scalp type. mainly dandruff comes due to oil, dirt etc .avoid using more oil in your scalp.it will be best if you apply oil in night and wash it in morning with shampoo. Avoid taking oily foods. Pantene anti dandruff shampoo and your head and shoulders will workout good if used with a good conditioner. Thanks :)
I had problems with dandruff a couple of years ago and turns out it was actually caused by the chemicals in store brand shampoo/conditioner. I went into Hairhouse Warehouse and they suggested the Nak care line. As soon as I started using that my dandruff went away. I've been using it for years now. And now when I use store brand shampoo/conditioner I actually notice that my scalp starts to burn a little. So I highly recommend trying that out. Lush shampoo/conditioner work really well for me too.
I reported Lara584 last week as a spammer, and again last night. She is back again spamming a Brisbane makeup artist.
She's been spamming for a few weeks now. Some of the posts get removed, but some remain. I have to say, the sneaky spammers are the ones that annoy me the most- the obvious ones get deleted ASAP but the less obvious ones tend to linger.
I'm with you both, Petal and Ruby*Red - even if it isn't spamming in the true sense it still irritates me to see someone, anyone, trying to benefit financially from BH without paying for the privilege. There are stacks of reputable brands doing the right thing with BH but when someone tries to push their own agenda in the guise of posting "helpful" comments, I'm not happy.
Lovely to see you're both still on the job. Love to you both.
I'll start by saying that I have a nose full of blackheads and so there is plenty of area for these strips to work on.
I was so lucky to be on the trial team for this cream! I have sensitive dry skin and sometimes I get a bit of a rash and SO itchy!!
