Hair Extensions - wanting to try them
Hair Extensions - wanting to try them
I'm really toying with the idea of hair extensions at the moment...my hair just doesn't seem to grow lol and I wouldn't mind some extra length so I can at least try out a wider variety of styles!
I'm just curious to know if anyone uses hair extensions and what your recommendations are. I've been doing a bit of research online, and although some are a bit pricey, I don't mind spending a bit in order to achieve a 'natural' look.
A friend suggested Vani-T hair extensions in Liquorice (as I have black hair). They are around $400 and reusable too.....
What are your thoughts/recommendations?
Thanks beauties! xoxox

hey girl! extentions are a fantastic idea:) especially when you just want to add volume and length for special occations etc=]
I have bought mine from here for gifts, myself and my friends:)
http://www.luxyhairextensions.com/
they are very cheap compared to brands like Vani T!
My sister has hair extentions but not sure what brand, they look so natural, she has it down to her waist and looks so sexy. My sister also has black hair and it looks even more natural with a dark colour i think, my friend has blonde hair and blonde extentions but hers doesnt look so natural.
I haven't had a full head of hair extensions but I have had a small section of white blonde hair in my black hair for some effect. My hair grows quickly so I don't really want a full head. They do get expensive too, especially maintenance (if you have fast-growing hair!) In my hair at the moment I have Great Length Extensions, and they're sealed with a bond (not glue). They're good quality, thick, and cost $12 per strand. I have 10 strands in my hair.
i have worn them and just took the ones i had put in just last night.they are good,i have never found any problems.I wear then when i want my hair to rest from all the heat and during cold seasons, coz my hair really dries out and breaks. If you get good extentions and keep them well, you can use them over and over again.
I would love to buy some hair extensions. I think it'd be awesome to be able to change your look completely for a day. But everywhere I've looked, their prices are so expensive. Anyone know of any cheaper places to buy from???
ebay:) has cheap deals
I just love the clip in one pieces, I have a blonde one that gives me a two toned look when I put my hair in a ponytail, also great at making my thin hair look thicker :) These are relatively cheap from places like Price Attack and Hairhouse Warehouse :)
Hello
i never used a hair extending piece, from the ral hair or the clip ones. For me always hair was down to my hips or bottom, so im sorry I cannot help s lot this topic. But i know that many stores for hair sell them not expensive and until you wait the hair growing longer its a choice instead of getting very fancy ones. Much nicer, real yes?
Hi, i also have black hair, and recently got extensions. If you look on Ebay for 100% Remy hair you will be able to find some! I have also worked at a hairdresser that specializes in hair extensions and most of the time the high price is from having to buy the extensions aswell. Theres some great clip on ones on ebay, but if you have a hairdresser you see regularly or one you trust, you might be able to get them to put them in for you, for a quarter of the price they'd normally charge! :)
Hair extensions are the best!!! There are so many different methods to attach them so you need to look into it. There is also synthetic or human hair available. I prefer human hair as it means you can treat it like your real hair e.g. straighten, curl, dye, etc. Synthetic hair is good to use if you only want to have them in for special occassions. I think clip-ins are the best especially if you are trying extensions for the first time. They are the least expensive type as you do not have to pay for someone to put them in and can easily do it yourself. They are also easier to care for as you can take them out when you don't need them e.g. if you're going to the gym, going swimming, etc. I buy my extensions from www.harmonyhairextensions.com.au they sell 100% Remy Human Hair Extensions. Remy means that all of the hair strands are kept running in the same direction when they're made. This means they will not tangle and will last much longer.
Hi hun,
I know this is not what you wanna hear but i wouldn't get hair extensions if i were you.
Two of my friends have had hair extensions and both of them and it looked really natural. But when they took the extensions off, both of them had really damaged and thinning hair - and it wasn't even the glue extensions...
Also, have you thought of all the cons of getting hair extensions? Such as going to the hairdresser every month of every two months to make sure everything is ok, detangling your hair all the time, protecting it from salt water and chlorine, ...
You might want to consider clip in extensions, they're less time consuming and less expensive.
xx
Hi,
This is interesting question about how to grow hair fast. If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis once it has grown out. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth.
Many many thanks you Stephen John
Ages ago I got a pair of Hairvenly hair extensions to review and I have to admit i am still absolutely loving them. They retail at about $159 AUD and are 160grams (this is one of the things to look out for because some just don't have enough). I know there are reviews on here of them too.
I recently bought a cheap pair off eBay because I didn't want to dip dye my good ones and they are apparently 180grams, but to be honest I kind of have a hard time believing it the thickness tapers off at the end and the clips are bigger(thinking that may of added to the 'weight') but I didn't expect much and they are fine for the purpose i wanted them for. I should also add that I have really thick hair so I really need the extra weight for it to look as natural as possible at the ends.
i want to try a hair extension but when i touch my friends hair its dry and not looking good. so i have a second thought on that.
After I had a baby earlier this year my hair started thinning (apparently normal due to hormonal changes etc.) and I got sick of it being thin and lank so I splurged on Hair Talk tape hair extensions at my local salon. They are expensive but I'm really enjoying having them. Yes, I do have to spend more time detangling sometimes and you have to take care to be gentle when washing them but I like them so much I think I'm going to get longer ones next time. One drawback I'm finding though is you need to double check that the tapes are hidden if you are pulling it back in a ponytail.
I recently got hair extensions put in (tapes) and I'm in love! It requires the same amount of care and effort that real hair has, but I would suggest asking your hairdresser about what shampoos and things to use and invensting in some good quality products to get the most out of them. Because the extensions aren't getting the natural oils that your real hair does, they tend to dry out quickly.
I get mine down at a well known place, for $299. Make sure the hairdresser REALLY knows what they are doing, or you can end up with hair loss or extreme tangling. The lady who did mine has been training for 11 years in all types of hair extensions, so I had no worries with going to her.
If you're thinking of trying it out, go for it. You can always get them taken out later if you find you don't enjoy them :)
I've also has sooo many comments on how natural they look! If I don't mention they're extentions, people would never notice. Make sure you get it color matched well for best results :)
http://www.luxyhair.com/ the clips hair extensions from here are AMAZING!! such good quality and not too expensive.
For my extensions I used a brand called "Hollywood Yes one" and it is 100% Virgin Remy. I absolutely love these extensions. In order to save money I just sowed the clips on myself but I've had these extensions for a while and they still look amazing. Very good quality hair. The best in the world for sure. Karmin Easy Clips
I guess it depends on the type of extentions you get (clip ons, keratin bonded etc). Some may cause damage to your natural hair so I'd be careful with that. Clip ons should be ok though.
I personally love my Karmin Easy Clips
I'm a ride or die for Madame Hair clip ins! They've been around for a while with their shops and now are online which I'm loving as I've moved! My hair from them lasts me a year minimum. Check em out here http://madamehairclipinextensions.com/
I Have hair thats about down to my belly button but I want to get it cut shorter for the sole reason that I want all the damaged part cut off. So I was thinking of buying some clip in hair extensions for the days that I want long hair again. has anyone got any recommendations for good clip in extensions that can be dyed and also styled with heat tools.
