Hi. Ive got thick black hair and recently started noticing random grey hairs. I've never coloured my hair but are there alternatives so i can just colour the greys as they pop up?
I believe that L’Oréal has a spray product that is intended to touch up roots as they grow out so that you don’t have to constantly go to the salon. This may be a good option if you can find a color that matches to your hair!
Can’t remember the exact name of it but I am sure Priceline carries it :)
Viki J's thinking of L’Oréal Magic Retouch - Instant Root Concealer Spray. I use this spray, it's great on my grey regrowth, but you don't colour your hair, so your greys would be grey from root to tip.
When I had only a few greys, I used semi-permanent colours to disguise the greys. I remember L'Oréal Casting Créme used to be good. It gives your hair incredible shine, but needs to be redone every 4-8 weeks. I've now progressed to permanent hair colour - I've got a LOT of grey!
I second what M8 said- Loreal Magic Retouch is great for covering just a few greys (or in my case grey roots as they come through). It only lasts until you wash your hair again though but then you just reapply. I probably get a month or two out of one can.
I have the same thought as mis8. I use the Loreal magic retouch in between colouring my hair but I have a lot of grey. It is good to temporarily cover a larger root area (not individual stands).
Perhaps hair msacara? I don't know where to get this from in Australia but I know they exist in Asian countries (so maybe checkout the japanese or korean makeup stores). You can colour in a small section or a strand of hair. I don't know if there are permenants available . The one I have is temporary. I don't even mind sending it to you to test it out (I don't use it anymore) but my one is brown.
Yeah there is aproduct SJ - I use the Brite brand and keep buying them because they are so handy. The brush is a bit big but I just release some of the formula onto the top of the lid and then dip the brush in and then target my greys so I can be accurate that way. I wish the Brite brand was listed on bh! I'd give it 5*s!!
Good to know CCW. Love that knowledge is shared around!
I have the Brite masque and is the best priceline brand that I have tried so far. Really good for $10!!
I've used Brite hair colour in blue & purple. I didn't know they made hair mascara!
There's also 1000 Hour Hair Mascara, listed on bh here: https://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/hair-colour/25142-1000-hour-hair-color-hair-color-mascaras
I've seen this at Priceline. It's available in Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown and Light Brown.
My mother taught me this one..as I dont want to dye my whole head but have slight greys....
get an toothbrush- new of course and cheap , I just buy the $2 ones
choose a colour that is close to your natural or one you like, mix up the hair dye and then use the toothbrush to coat the greys or the roots whatever you prefer.
I use semi permanents ones so it just washes out but I really recommend it. It works and I dont have to dye the whole hair.
I have the same problem and haven't found anything yet :( I've tried the 1000 lash product and I didn't like it at all you may as well put mascara in your hair its practically the same thing! LOL
This serum comes in a black box with a picture of the serum on the packaging.
I’m in the middle with this product, I have equal good and bad points that I’m a bit undecided. The product comes in a large easy to use pump. Very convenient.
I really enjoy the scent of this product. I love it so much I look forward to using it every night, it’s really fresh and invigorating. The liquid itself is a very thin gel, almost watery.
