Quick question: what are your main dental concerns?
Do you have any? Or are you not in the least bit concerned with your teeth?
My biggest dental concern is having a nice, healthy, white smile!
I care very much about my teeth, and try to take good care of them. I want them to stay clean and healthy, and I'd love for them to be whiter!
I'm not sure if it is a dental concern but my mouth is allllways dry! I chew gum all the time and I'd love to know if there are any natural products or alternatives as gum is full of chemicals, but mints are even worse!
My biggest dental concern is the cost of actually going to the dentist! It's crazy!
I have had a lot of dental concerns. My teeth have been totally wrecked by medications. I've now got a top denture, as the teeth just either rotted or fell out. But my bottom teeth are pretty good luckily. I look after my teeth as best as I can.
I couldn't agree more, the cost of going to the dentist is beyond ridiculous!
It's not only about the cost for me, I think it is also combined how much pain I am going to be in and what else they might find wrong with my teeth.
Sensitivity is my biggest dental concern by far. I've tried everything and I just can't seem to solve the problem.
I have fair skin, auburn hair and they say that teeth are effected to a certain extent to.
I know mine have been affected by life saving medication as advised by my neurologist so when a new medication came on the "market" that suited my condition better it was changed but the damage is done. Whitening Toothpaste had very little impact on it and I have a few sensitivity issues so I was advised against some of the other treatments available.
I second rose_p it is soo damn expensive to visit dentists recently I had to remove a tooth because it broke off and causing terrible pain and it costed me 300 dollars just to extract it ...
My dental concerns are how to relieve/cure sensitive teeth any best products ?
How to maintain white teeth at home using tried and tested products.
Does chewing sugar free gum effect oral health. I mean some gums available in the market today promoting whiter teeth and healthier teeth. What effects does chewing gum have on our teeth?
Mikayla I'm sorry to hear about the negative effects of your medication. I think the same is happening to my Dad.
Beauties do you not have private health insurance?
Personally I dont chew whitening gum, I don't think it can be good for you, swallowing bleachy stuff, or good for your teeth! But gum definitely is, especially after meals. I think it stimulates saliva which I believe helps to reduce plaque and break up those bits of food stuck in your teeth. I just cant live without it or my mouth is like a desert!
Whitening is a huge factor for me. I have quite yellow teeth and no home whitening kit seems to really work. I also have a cracked tooth that I cannot afford to get fixed, and it can be quite painful.
COST! Lengthy waiting times for dentist appointments!
My teeth seem to 'buzz' most of the time. I've tried to explain it to a variety of dentists (and doctors) several years ago and I think I just ended up calling it 'chronic sensitivity'. I find this gets worse at different times of the month or if I get stressed - so I know at the very least that it's hormone related. I also know it's not normal as my teeth never used to do this! It never used to happen before I had children and it goes away with a panadol or nurofen. Generally I've just had to learn to live with it and use toothpastes made for sensitive teeth - which helps for a few minutes.
Forgetting to book my usual dental clean and check up in advance., Also always on the look out for products that help whiten my teeth without damaging them.
Both the cost and the risk of gum disease! I'm petrified of losing my teeth to gum disease so I'm always flossing and being paranoid haha
I also hate the cost of it! I've already spent 2 grand this year on dental work and I need to spend more to get my wisdom teeth taken out.
mine would be yellowing of my teeth
Yellowing teeth, gum disease and fillings!
Yellowing, sensitivity and cavities
Mine is gum disease and receding gums and sensitive teeth.
I hate going to the dentist but once they have me in the seat, I calm down (sort of). My teeth have been bad with yellowing for years (thanks to medication). I have a few crowns around the front (top) so now my own two front teeth look yuck next to the new crowns.
I hate having pictures taken cause I can't smile.
Would love to know some of the best whitening products that won't ruin my teeth at the same time.
The cost of dental work even if you do have medical insurance.
The general health & state of my teeth (I have receding gums, plus occasional pain & sensitivity), plus the cost. I haven't been to one for years for that reason. Gum disease is another concern as well.
I had braces when I was younger, but stopped wearing the retainers long ago (wasn't told how to clean them) and now I know my teeth have come out of alignment. I'm sure my dentist will kill me when I eventually get around to going (and I really ought to go sooner rather than later!), but I just hope that my teeth are not as bad as I fear they might be.
My major concern is bleeding gums. My gums tend to bleed when I brush my teeth, but may be I should use soft bristle brush. I also grind my teeth in my sleep, which is another problem.
The main concern always has been the strength of my teeth, and a little bit of the appearance. Food is one of the primary pleasures in my life and to sustain this pleasure, I need a working order set of teeth! Plus, if I'm ever in a dental jam, those bills will likely make me lose 10 years of my life
I'm having a dental concern at the moment. I thought I had a hole in one of my top teeth because there was a pain everytime I drank something even remotely cold, even a glass of tap water, so I went to the dentist who did an xray and couldn't see one.
I actually had a hole in a bottom tooth which I got filled but the pain in the top still remained. I don't understand why if there is no hole....is it just sensitive teeth? Any ideas anyone?
I have yellow ish teeth that I am inquiring about, probably going to get whitening mouth guard things. My biggest problem is a stain on my tooth. It's not that noticeable but still gets on my nerves.
