Has anyone used the Teeth Whitening booths they have in the middle of the shopping malls??? The prices look GREAT but I wonder how safe they are ... or if they even work??
I have seen these also. Just keep in mind that if you are sensitive to at home or dentist whitening this will be the same. Some people are allergic to the ingredients and the technicians at the mall have only been trained how to do the treatment not and I really mean not trained to assist you if something goes wrong. You would have to see a DR. My friends have tried this however I have not because I am too sensitive. They have gotten great results.
Thanks Michelle ... I always see them ... I really want to give them a try but am a bit apprehensive. I don't have sensitive teeth ... so I may just give it a go next time!?
i dont think id have that done anywhere other then the actual dentist
Hi Rewalize, It's Sandra I think I would be very careful and look into what whitening ingedients they use. You do not want harmful chemicals wrecking your teeth enamel. Just food for thought and just my opinion. ###Sandra
I had teeth whitening by one of those nearly 3 years ago now and it worked fine. The thing is though, the first price they flash at you can become higher (by choice). When you are in the chair they say something like if you pay x amount more you can go up a few shades ligther. I fell for it and that was a big mistake. If you do go, just stick to that initial cheap price, don't be fooled like I was (the few shades lighter really make no difference - but it costs significantly more to add it on). Also, now with coupon sites I wouldn't even bother with these. There are tons of teeth whitening deals popping up all the time.
I totally agree with Sandra - be careful - you only have one set of teeth, so if you want to get it done, get it done by people you know you can trust.
Personally I got a kit from my dentist, probably paid more than if bought elsewhere, but I feel confindent and safe using it, knowing that they have recommended it, and indirectly monitoring it.
Thank you for all the feedback ladies ... the interest in those booths actually came about after I saw a piece done on ACA about them ... they interviewed a dentist that stated the booths use exactly the same stuff they would at a normal dentist ... and in the same way ... the only difference was that if anything went wrong, or you had a bad reaction to it you would NOT have the professional assistance on hand that you would at an actual dentists office.
That being said ... I'm still VERY intrigued ... a celebrity white smile on a budget is just sooooo tempting!! :S
I think the other thing with whitening is that, any untreated dental issues should be dealt with prior to whitening.
You may have something wrong with your teeth and not know, if you have whitening with pre-existing condition you can cause serious damage.
i haven't tried those booths yet. but i found some big and famous dental clinics offering dental services at a promo price, usually around 30-50% off with take home kits. i found it online at http://www.alldealsoz.com.au, they list all the deals offered in ur town. (i'm in sydney at the moment)
i don't think you should take the teeth whitening treatment from the mall. Consulting a good dentist would be better before having any treatment for your teeth.
I received the Eimele meal replacements in chocolate and vanilla as a part of the trial team from BeautyHeaven and am very appreciative of the opportunity to trial something very close to my needs.
This Avene lip balm is a high quality product. It applies easily and my lips feel instantly soft and hydrated.
The way I used the meal replacement shakes was by doing an accelerated meal plan where I drank 2 shakes and ate one healthy meal per day.
