Great buys! Does groceries count? That's what I bought today :(

I just ordered an avon foundation, it's the one goss makeup artist says is good. It was on special from $29 down to $18 so I thought I would give it a try :)

Delicious Girl - me too! I did a grocery shop online and had it delivered to my door this evening :) My groceries did include Nivea waterproof eyemakeup remover, Biore Poor Strips & eye makeup remover pads....does that count? :)

Not that I know of Belle, I get mine from a girl at work who just hands around the catalogues.

Great thread Rewalize! Found this DB Designer Brands matte palette on the way home tonight at Pharmacy4Less - they're having a sale. It's my first big palette (96 shades) and I know you can get others cheaply on eBay, but I like to see stuff before I buy it. So this was on special for $17.95. It's the size of a diary with a button clasp - nice and compact for carrying it around, and for me to have this many matte shades, I'm in heaven. Colour pay-off is pretty good, some are more intense than others, but on the whole, I'm thrilled.

I've included a tube of Palmers hand cream so you can get an idea of the size. And the last pic is the closest I can get to the actual shades - so hard to get the lighting right...

Ha ha, well after three eyeshadow palettes from beautorium, I'm pretty set now, so I'll join you on that ban Alice. But I don't think there should ever be a ban on books - good on you, and hope you enjoy the read :-)

Hi bb, as far as I know it's only available at selected chemists, in my case, Pharmacy4Less. They had quite a few other specials in the range as well, and a larger palette with even prettier shades, but they were slightly shimmery so I didn't indulge...

It is a super size Morrigan and heaps of colours - I'm wearing a couple today and will post an EOTD tonight (if the piccies aren't too gruesome, lol). They're not the strongest pigments, but I'm just happy to have ALL mattes and so many shades to choose from.

It really does look like a diary - Rachel your hubby would never even know it was makeup, truly!

katshepsutt, that looks awesome, but like Alice, I've put myself on an eyeshadow ban, as I have so many of them and I think I might have hit pan on only one shadow, which is shocking really.

They do look neat don't they Trish - nothing wrong with you hon, I'm a total sucker for a gorgeous presentation (it's one of my weaknesses, instead of focussing on what's inside) but I don't see the point of any of this beauty stuff if it doesn't look good as well :-)

And your comments should be recognised - I'm a great believer in the little things all adding up to BIG things, and you do it so well. You not only make ME smile, it does my heart good to know there are still kind folk out there who aren't afraid to share some lurv and caring (some people see it as a weakness - unbelievable!).
