Are you bored at home with nothing to do
Are you bored at home with nothing to do
I love to play games on my computer when I am bored and I have a couple of companies that are free to download their games. As I am an oldie and have to stay at home most of the time I find that having some games to play is really well worthwhile. The best I found is called TopGames and as they have quite a few of all different games you do a have choice. There are still more if you would prefer to find them yourself but I do like this one so if you do, I hope you enjoy them. In these troubling times we have to do what we can to try and keep ourselves interested.

I was excited to be chosen to review these tablets and pleased that Natures Way provided enough for me to trial for a couple of months so I could truly ascertain if they were going to be beneficial
Glowy and beautiful!
A great and affordable sunscreen which has a glowy colour in it.
Such a beautiful foundation
This foundation is the best of the best. I dragged my feet in getting to try it because sometimes products aren't always as great as people rave that they are. This product genuinely is.

I like to play Wordhub - In fact, I waste far too much time playing wordhub! Rewardia is another website with games. You earn points which you can exchange for gift cards.
Thank you misfortune8 for putting me onto the Rewardia site, I now use it a lot and as it has both games and surveys with added points I find it really good and very enjoyable apart from keeping my brain active. So thanks again and hope all is well for you and your family.
Just to add another site for games on the computer try this one https://www.myrealgames.com all free too, and a lot of good games.
I wish I was able to do more things but unfortunately I am not, I have a great husband who now looks after me , does all the cooking, cleaning and even most of the shopping. I have a medical condition ,that makes doing a lot of things difficult so I do what I can. Which is why I tend to get a bit bored and I do read a lot I have a kindle, but also play games on my computer.
I for one am not bored, yet, so many movies to catch up on, had lots of time prior to coronavirus to declutter and reassess what I needed. Now relocated and still lots of things I need to do, change addresses, pay bills, REST, catch up on BH forums and topics others are writing about.
Also, sitting on the phone waiting for government services to advise change of address and other stuff which I just can't do online. Would have preferred to go into office as I want to make sure everything is correct but I can't leave 'home' for 14 days. What a terrible time to move, oh well, that's the way it is and I can only do what I can.
I’m bored $h!tle$$!
I don’t work during the day, but I usually take the dog for a walk, or I jump on the bus and go to the shops, or mum and dad come and pick me up and we go out. My doctor has told me that she doesn’t want me to go to the shops etc, because the risk of me catching this dreadful virus (or something else) is too high. I had to go and see Dr tonight. She instructed me to wait in the car until she was ready for me. She didn’t want me in the waiting room (risk high due to other health complications).
I did take Miss Dog for a walk yesterday. It was an absolutely glorious day. But it’s rained pretty much all day today, so we haven’t been out. I’ll keep taking her for her daily walk while it’s still allowed.
Besides that I clean the house, read, garden (it’s only very small), play on my iPad, read Beautyheaven, watch YouTube videos. I’m not interested in iPad games. The only game type app I do play is ‘Happy Colour’. It’s a colour by numbers. It’s quite relaxing.
Hubby is still working. They are actually quite busy, but like many others it’s a day to day proposition. Other companies who provide the same services have temporarily shut down or reduced services. Nothing we can do.
Im not bored at all. I have a massive reading pile to get through.
Ive watched all of Outlander on Netflix and now im into The Crown.
I clean things and spend time baking and then freezing things down.
Man if I could stay at home I would have a blast. Id paint, draw, read heaps of books, meditate, learn about something new and sleep....rest is so good for the soul. Get the board games out. Id write stories... Do a spring clean. Exercise at home with videos!
I'm not bored atm, but I have had my moments where I feel a bit bored.
I've got a stockpile of podcasts to listen to, books to read, things to cook & bake (one of my goals throughout this whole "lockdown" - I say this in inverted commas as my Premier Gladys refuses to call it that - is to cook & bake new things & this week I've tried out 2 new recipes), a pantry to clean out, downstairs floors to vacuum, nails to paint (both fingers & toes), walks to take when I feel like them, new exercise routines to try in the comfort of my own home, parsley seeds to plant....I don't think I'll be bored for a little while yet!
I don't really get bored.
I do a lot of craft -sewing, crochet , I've tried my hand at just about any craft. I did stop making things for a while, I was a bit depressed, medication side effects and health problems got me down for a while. and I did'nt feel motivated to do much , plus a lot of my creativity went into doing my hair. When I was dying all of it unnatural colours it was my canvas. I do a lot of cooking, read, grow herbs and little edible plants, microgreens and sprouts.
And of course their is the world wide web and beautyheaven to keep me occupied.
I’m working on an EP. This is the first time I’ve actually written original music in about a decade, I hope to get it finished in a few months time. One of the tracks is almost complete and has a bit of a David Guetta doof vibe going on, but I think it speaks more true to my earlier music which was trance/rave influenced. Nowadays, my style is pretty much EDM, but a little darker/alternative, more influenced by 80s synth pop (think Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, New Order, Gary Numan etc) and some contemporary synth pop artists. I also applied for a mentorship/grant program for women in music (composers), and it sounds like an amazing opportunity if I am able to get a spot. Wish me luck!
I’ve also constructed my first crochet cardigan/jacket (I think it’s going to be a robe lol), working on a hood for it now, then I’ll be able to attach the sleeves and finish the trim. Some of you saw the squares that are going to be the outside of the sleeves on my Instagram - the designer of the squares (Cute Crochet Makes) chose me to test the patterns and they’re now available to purchase on Ravelry (as part of the cushion cover). The yarn required for the project is also really affordable and I got mine from a website called Lovecrafts in the UK. Takes about 10 days to arrive. The blanket version patterns are free on her website.
Wow, goodluck rivetlicker that's amazing - fingers crossed you get the music mentorship/grant! I love New Order and Depeche Mode and synth pop. Would love to hear your music :)
Exciting news rivetlicker! I would LOVE to listen to your EP when it's done. dark/80's synthpop is my favourite.
No boredom here.
I finally get to catch up on those things you want to do but never get around to doing it. I am also taking advantage of my husband's phrase "I'll get around to it later". Now is later.
I am also taking advantage of more time to exercise. We are both doing a 20-30 minute walk each morning.
I too having been playing games on my tablet. luminosity.com
I'm not bored at all. I've written a list of all the things I can do just so I stay focused and don't waste this valuable time. I'm glad I have possibly three months because the list is getting longer and longer.
We've been cleaning everything and sorting out all the cupboards. Hubby's cleaned all the windows, driveways and walkways; trimmed the hedges; and mowed the lawns. I follow him around and clean up.
I'm exercising more, which is a good thing. We have a stack of puzzle books to keep our minds sharp, and there's always plenty of activities or research to do online.
I also have my family tree to keep me busy but as soon as I turn to that I'm lost for days on end.
I wasn’t bored today. My youngest son took me to Dr early to get my blood test done. I did some housework. I sat in the chair and I felt so cold that I put a blanket over me. Miss Pussy Cat decided to snuggle up on my lap and go to sleep, and I fell asleep too. Oops! When I woke up I sorted out some washing, organised dinner, and took Miss Dog for her walk. We got home around the same time as hubby. Dinner was roast chicken, and we cooked it in the BBQ. So much easier than doing it inside. Cleaned up, and that’s about it. Now I’m just sitting here contemplating when I should go and have a shower. I’m tired and I want to go to bed but it’s a bit early just yet.
I have to laugh about my dog and her walkies though. I can’t take her at the exact same time everyday. If I develop a routine of taking her at say 2.00pm, I swear she knows what time it is, and she doesn’t care if it’s 40 deg, snowing or torrential downpour, she wants to go now. So I have to sometimes take her in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. She’s a smart little cookie.
I just came on here to do product reviews. I have been flat out. Hubby is working from home and I have had to home school the children!!!!!!
I've been focusing on doing more yoga - I used to go to classes at a studio and before this, I had no idea there were so many fabulous (and free!) yoga and workout videos on Youtube. I didn't think I would find it almost as enjoyable as an in-studio class, it's been a great little discovery for me.
We've also got a few puzzles we're planning on getting through and working our way through our list of series, books and movies. I started an online photography course on the weekend, excited to have the time to learn some new things!
I used to play lots of games from Big Fish - they currently have bunch of games to download for free as a COVID-19 promo. My favourite types were the hidden object and time management ones.
During quarantine, I often had things that made me very bored and did not know what to do. In this case, I invited my friends to my home and took out my jenga sets. I have some huge sets with which you can play for a very long time. So we played with friends and we had a lot of fun. During the game, we recalled various funny situations and laughed at that. I first learned about sets of jenga game thanks to this article: https://jenga-game.com/reviews/best-giant-jenga/
I've marked Tenderness's post, above as SPAM!
LOL. For what? :/
NOPE - I love working form home - never ever want to leave again - have spent so much time with my girl and loved it xx
I never get bored at home. When pandemic came I have start to work from home, and for it's waaaaaaaaay better than working in the office. Also I love to exercise at home especially perform some yoga exercises.
I love being home and although I was already medically retired I find the quiet streets and the slow down has really helped with my stress and anxiety.
I have had a lot of stress with my unwell partner and spent a lot of time at hospital and even that was easier as the rules are so stringent to get in to visit - only one particular person allowed at anyone time in a 24 hour period- it wasn't so chaotic!
I enjoy cooking, gardening and walking and have never been a social butterfly so I am happy and ever so grateful for all that I do have.
LadyLola We sound very similar. Ive never been much of a social butterfly either. Im happy being on my own as i enjoy my own company so I dont have an issue with feeling lonely or isolated.
Caring for someone with cancer certainly keeps you very busy and for me that was the biggest change as when R passed it was just as covid was starting to ramp up so not long after his passing the rules regarding covid came into play so it was a bit of a shock going from being so busy caring for R and running to two different hospitals, attending all the blood transfusion and chemo appointments, etc....to then being isolated at home. Having so much time on my hands was a very odd thing but I am very used to it now and enjoying being able to catch up with things that I had put on the back burner.
