SAG Awards sexiest: Aussie beauties
They may not have scored the top gongs at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this year, but in the style stakes, our Aussie ambassadors definitely gave us something to be proud of.
The hair, the make-up, those gowns! Yep, the Aussies certainly had the fashion element of the awards all sewn up (pardon the pun) and I thought it only fair that we give snaps to three of the most deserving red carpet ravens. (And since the SAG Awards are all about peer-voted awards, we thought we were more than appropriate candidates to dish out the beauty awards for the evening. Thank you very much.)
Naomi, you vixen! That red lip and deep-side parting has me in quite the spin! You’re like the girl-next-door who suddenly found her sexy side – and we like it! If you want to get the look for yourself, you’ll need a pigmented red lippy and not a lot of colour anywhere else on your face. We recommend Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Red Carpet with a slick of clear gloss over the top. To copy Naomi’s locks, simply part your hair deep to one side and then take to your locks with the easy-to-use Remington Perfect Curls. Once you’ve got your tight spiral curls, spritz some hairspray before brushing them out for a more relaxed wave.
Pretty-in-pink Rose gave us something to talk about when we clapped eyes on the SAG Awards red carpet. Super bright pink lips teamed with flushed cheeks and a subtle smoky eye called for some definite ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the beautyheaven team. Get her look with a little Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick with SPF 15 in Boogie Woogie and a sweep of MeMeMe Blush Me Blush Box over your cheekbones. Get perfect shiny curls like Rose’s with the Jilbère de Paris Euro 2500 25mm Ceramic Curler. Once you’ve curled all of your hair, use your fingers to separate the curls and allow them to drop naturally instead of brushing them out. Finish with a generous dose of shine spray. We like TONI&GUY Moisturising Shine Spray.
Well, well! Sleek, chic Nicole has stepped out at the SAG Awards without her hubby on her arm, but we’re more than happy to admit she didn’t need him. She was show-stopping on her own in a floor length, shimmery blue gown – but it was her hair and make-up that really delighted us. Nic opted for ‘party eyes’, complete with shimmery sliver shadow and a good helping of black eyeliner. Get her look by adding a little L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in Forbidden Silver to your eyelids as well as the inner corner of your eyes, before lining your top lash line and bottom waterline with black eyeliner. To achieve poker straight locks like Nic’s, prep your wet hair with Andrew Collinge Simply No Frizz No Kinks Straightener before drying your tresses and running your straightening iron over small sections at a time. We like VS Sassoon Slim Ceramic Straightener.
