Beauty tips taken from Ricki-Lee's COVERGIRL campaign
WARNING: there’s another easy, breezy, beautiful COVERGIRL campaign on the loose, beauties. And boy, is it a goodie.
Ricki-Lee Coulter’s official COVERGIRL image rolled out around the country yesterday, and we’re utterly impressed by it. Yep, in our eyes, she’s definitely up their with COVERGIRL royalty. (Read: Drew Barrymore, Sophia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres and Taylor Swift.) In fact, we’re so in love with Ricki-Lee Coulter’s COVERGIRL campaign shot, we’re thieving beauty tips from it. Naughty? Yes, but it has to be done.
TIP WORTH STEALING FROM RICKI-LEE: chocolate shadow does great things for brown eyes
Yes, we’ve been banging on for years that hues opposite to our eye colour make our peepers pop, but there’s something magnificent about this dark smoky shade that frames Ricki-Lee’s eyes. Winging the shadow out slightly opens up her eyes, too, making them look bigger than they actually are. Tricky.
Product pick: COVERGIRL Exact Eyelights Shadow in Vibrant Brown.
TIP WORTH STEALING FROM RICKI-LEE: voluminous ’70s hair is stunning
Centre-parted? Tick. Volume at the roots and body throughout? Tick. Big, loose curls directed away from the face? TICK. This hairstyle is not only stylish, but the direction of the curls open up Ricki-Lee’s face, allowing her eyes to shine. Love the caramel tones through her strands, too.
TIP WORTH STEALING FROM RICKI-LEE: it’s OK to wear nude nails. Truly it is
With nail art taking over the world and bright pops of colour seen on digits everywhere, it seems we’ve forgotten the appeal of beautifully manicured nude nails. As Ricki-Lee and her COVERGIRL campaign prove, nude (or even soft peach) nails work marvellously well with rose gold jewellery, luminous skin and chocolate eye shadow.
TIP WORTH STEALING FROM RICKI-LEE: terracotta lipstick isn’t just for mums
See that lip colour Ricki-Lee is sporting? I bet your mum owns one just like it. But guess what? So should you. Lipsticks don’t always have to be super-bold and bright – it’s OK to go with something a little more natural; something that enhances your natural lip colour. Not only does this warm terracotta lippie enhance the apple of Ricki-Lee’s blushed-up cheeks, but defines her lips without competing with her eye make-up, too.
Product pick: COVERGIRL Lip Perfection Lipstick in Rapture.
Still not convinced she’s worthy of the COVERGIRL title? Watch this, and then we’ll talk.
What do you think of Ricki-Lee’s COVERGIRL campaign? Are you going to steal these beauty tips too? Which one is your fave?
