Ultra Thin Pads – Regular Reviews

wow I love Lovekins pads! They are so comfortable and soft as well as thin so it is easy to move around without feeling restricted in any way. It was my pleasure to be invited to the trial team and got invited to attend the seminar in regards to Lovekins and what we should look for in a pad.
First Lovekin focuses on making natural organic products for baby and woman. Their pads are a new line of products which is the first in Australian to have non-adhesive core pad which has long term benefit for the body. Furthermore, it is made out of cotton woven into a pad which is why it is so soft and I didn't feel any irritation.
The reason why I gave 4 stars because accessibility to purchase the product and the price. I did some research that it can only be purchased at selective Priceline stores (only 3 stores in the city) and Lovekins online store. Furthermore, the regular pads cost $6 for 10 which is considered a premium price compared to other supermarket brands. It is indeed a very luxurious product which does come with a premium price.

Packaging- the packaging is simple recyclable plastic where pads are stacked and a plastic covers hold each pad. It was difficult to open - I used my nail to pierce packaging but scissors could also be used. After looking closely I saw there was little lines on the packet where you push down to rip open. I would prefer a little sandwich bag style open and shut style where you tear some plastic off and then you can reuse the packaging. Better still a little purse or bag made of cotton would be better for environment and more convenient. Pad also has wings that I’m not a big fan off- you can see them on knickers and I prefer with no wings.

Quality- The pad itself feels soft on my body and adheres to underwear well. This pad is great for a medium/light flow but I found the pad to be too large for me-I am a size 14 but when I have a medium/light flow I want something small and that is a little thicker.

Feel- The cotton is soft and high quality compared to other pads that feel cheap and thin and poorly made. The pad works well and the plastic packaging is soft. I felt confident using pads and would recommend this for people who have medium/light flow and who like wings and full coverage.

Ethical- I like how pad packaging is recyclable and that company is Australian owned- but they are still made in a Chinese factory.

I enjoyed the Lovekins product as it was soft and the thin plastic backing was flexible which made it comfortable for everyday wear. The cotton lining was soft and delicate on my skin. I found that it also remained in place with the wings that stayed sticky which is a big plus in my books!

I also liked the idea of it being an Australian company using natural Australia products. It was fairly odourless when freshly opened which reinforced the feel of natural materials. I’d be happy to purchase the product again finding that it still left me feeling fresh after several hours of use.

The Ultra Thin size worked for me for my period, but I do think the variety of sizes would help cater to different women’s bodies. No real criticisms from my perspective and can see the thought and detail that went into designing the product for Australian women.

I am very very impressed with this product! For as long as I can remember I have used supermarket brand (Stayfree, Libra and U by Kotex) sanitary pads and never stopped to question the chemicals they are made up of and the harm it could lead to after prolong use.

Lovekins ultra thin sanitary pads are honestly SO THIN. They 're as thin as a liner and the barely there types not the thicker mini pad ones. They are definitely the most comfortable pad I have worn to date. The cotton is so soft it feels almost just like an inner liner of underwear. Personally I use regular pads during the day and super/night pads in the evening. The absorption of these regular pads was just as good as any other I have tried before. I did not have to change my pad any earlier than I normally would with another brand.

I was unable to give 5 stars as I slightly struggled with the packaging, with time I'm sure I will get use to it. In the past the pads I have used are designed where the entire pad unravels when you pull the tab. With this product there is tape to unfold the pad and then an entire thin freezer plastic like covering to open up before revealing the pad. Also the absorption rate is a little slower in comparison to my U by Kotex pads so there were moments where I felt it was a little moist/dry but never uncomfortable.

I will continue to purchase this product as it is overall better for my health, extremely thing and the most comfortable to wear.

I was sent these pads as part of the trial team and it was my first time using these and I am pleased to say that I am impressed! The SUPER pads are quite long, so it is perfect for the night time and for heavy flow. The regular pads are a tad shorter than the super ones. These pads all have wings and are the most comfortable pads I have tried! They are very light and thin. Initially I was concerned that there would be leakage considering how thin they but I was proven wrong, they seem to be super absorbent, as mentioned on the packaging. I also think it’s great how they are fragrance, chlorine and dye fee. Perfect for sensitive skin types and let’s face it no one wants those nasties coming near that area!

The pads are all individually wrapped which is important for hygiene reasons and makes it convenient if you want to carry a few in your hand bag rather than the whole packet. The only downside to this individual wrapping was that I found it rather hard to open. Each time I either had to cut it with scissors or pull really hard to tear it open. Other than that, it’s a great product!

I love how different they are from what are currently out in the market. The packaging is cute and you can see there is love and care being put into the brand. I also love the ethics of the brand and their passion. It makes me want to support them.

The pads are lightweight and breathable making it extremely comfortable to wear. I experienced no leaks or felt sweaty with them on, in fact it stayed fresh and comfortable. which is important during that time of the month. As I get really heavy flows and normally feel uncomfortable just after an hour but didn't feel this whilst using Lovekins.

With some brands I'm constantly moving my undies around as the pad is uncomfortable but I forget that I am wearing any because of how thin they are and the comfort is extremely important.

They also slide in easily into pockets without any obvious bulk!

Luckily this trial came at just the right time of the month for me and I was able to use my new Lovekins pads straight away.

The outer packaging is very thick and I found it very difficult to open (I eventually had to find a pair of scissors!). The individual packaging for each pad is also very thorough and a little fiddly to open (during the event we were advised that this was for hygiene and moisture protection purposes - I'm sure it's a great feature for the times when you need to keep some individual pads in your handbag.

The pad itself is very thin and feels soft on the skin. I always use pads with wings so was pleased that these were also winged pads. My period is very light by the time I get to the part of my period where I can use regular pads, so I can't really comment on the absorbency of the regular pad, but it was certainly adequate for my level of flow.

Thank you Beautyheaven & Lovekins! I visited Hot Expo this year at Darling Harbour ICC and met Lovekins teams. They introduced their baby nappies and sanitary pads. I also received a baby soap for my little boy. Their products have very simple and clean outlooks. Luckily I could use Lovekins Regular pads this week. When Amanda, Lovekins founder, introduced her company motto and their products, I was very impressed with Lovekins quality production line. They use pure Australian cotton and very natural ingredients for all other products. Lovekins Ultra Thin Regular pads make me feel soft, clean and pure. This product feels much softer than other famous brands pads. And it also kept the discharge quite clean and dry. I often feel sting when I use Stayfree, Libra and U by Kotex pads. But when I use this Lovekins Ultra Thin Regular pads, I just feel clean and calm. I know that it is bit expensive than other brands, but I will probably use this from now on. Thank you!

I attended Lovekins trial event and am amazed with the quality of the products. They have a small range of products but they have all the products that cover most of the requirements of women sanitary and baby needs.
There are many evident positive facts about Lovekins Ultra thin Regular pads such as thickness, shape, packaging, quality and source of material. They are made with fibres sourced from organic Australian cotton plant which are super absorbent and it is harmful chemical free and vegan. It has no fragrance which is a plus for me as I like to avoid unnecessary chemicals. They are quite thin in comparison to most other brands, has good length and coverage, the seal and packaging is hygienic and has no harmful chemicals in the adhesives as well and has fibers with much better absorbancy. Considering all these aspects the price is pretty reasonable as well. It definitely can be used for longer times but their recommended time is two hours when it comes to how frequently one should change the pads which is bit concerning as sometimes this can be challenging while travelling or at work and as well as it does not have fragrance it could be not convenient for some women. This is overall a very good product.
